Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, one of the world’s leading experts on developmental trauma, and author of the book, the body keeps the score. I love the fact that he tells therapists that our licenses are only licenses to malpractice, we learn everything from our clients. He talks about how trauma interferes with attention, and the ability to filter out of irrelevant stuff out.
