Kathryn Smith
Kathryn Smith is a Consultant Occupational Therapist and Director Lecturer at ASI Wise. Renowned for her innovative contributions to Ayres’ Sensory Integration (ASI), Kathryn has played a pivotal role in developing sensory care pathways and resources that have revolutionised mental health services within the NHS. Her dedication to accessible and evidence-based practice is reflected in her collaborative work and numerous publications. A passionate educator and advocate, Kathryn continues to inspire therapists worldwide with her commitment to advancing ASI.

Rosalind Urwin
Rosalind Urwin is a Consultant Occupational Therapist and Director Lecturer at ASI Wise. With over 30 years of experience in the NHS, Ros has been a trailblazer in embedding Ayres’ Sensory Integration principles into services for individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health needs. As the EASI Lead for England and a founding director of ASI Wise, Ros is committed to mentoring and supporting therapists globally. She remains dedicated to fostering evidence-based practice and lifelong learning in the field of sensory integration.


Together, Kathryn and Ros are passionate about empowering both therapists and the people they support, championing innovation, collaboration, and education in Ayres’ Sensory Integration.
