#WorldMentalHealthDay

Today, the 10th of October, is World Mental Health Day.

It is not possible to be healthy without mental health… the eternal stigmatized mental health, always silenced and hidden.

Today and every day, it is time to make mental health visible and grow awareness of it, eradicating stigma and eliminating taboos.

According to the World Health Organization, the triple impact of COVID-19, climate change, and ongoing wars and conflicts have tightly influenced the mental health of our population, whether directly or indirectly affected. This has affected the mental health and well-being of many more people, both those who already had a mental health diagnosis and those who did not. The pandemic is estimated to have increased the prevalence of depression and anxiety worldwide by 25% to 27%.

Regarding the moment of life, we are all vulnerable to any condition of mental health during our lives. Let’s all be more sensitive to this important issue that concerns us all.

This year, the World Health Organisation campaign focused on “Mental Health at Work.”
