Ball drumming with pool noodles?

Yes, you are reading well!

Ball drumming with pool noodles, or with two wooden spoons, two sticks…or whatever you have access to at any moment… you can be as creative as you would like to be!

This activity can be adapted to each person, situation and environment!

The method doesn’t matter; what matters is having fun with it.

Playfulness is what brings all the magic.

By using therapy balls and pool noodles, we can explore bilateral integration, sequencing, and social participation activities that address sensory-motor challenges in a way that supports neuroplasticity and functional participation.

If you would like to learn practical sensory integration strategies for adolescents and adults and experience how rhythmic, sensory-rich activities support motor coordination, praxis, self-regulation and social participation…

There is an experiential, movement-based workshop which aligns with fidelity to Ayres Sensory Integration (ASI), integrating assessment-driven, co-produced interventions that are playful, engaging, and meaningful.

This workshop is for therapists who have completed at least three days of SI Workshop training or ASI Module 1, looking for practical, evidence-based sensory integration strategies that are appropriate for adolescents and adults. It is also suitable for therapists who have trained in a paediatric focussed programme looking for ideas for enhancing sensory integration beyond childhood
