About ICE-ASI:
The International Council for Education in Ayres Sensory Integration (ICE-ASI) is the global body that safeguards fidelity in ASI education. It sets minimum international standards — the floor that guarantees integrity — while allowing countries to design their own ceilings to meet local frameworks and cultural needs.
Rather than promoting uniformity, ICE-ASI supports transparency, collaboration, and adaptability, ensuring therapists worldwide access training that is faithful to Dr A. Jean Ayres’ original work and informed by current research.
Direct comparisons between the baseline standards and the full content of a programme are misleading, as they oversimplify complex differences and risk undermining trust. Instead, ICE-ASI focuses on building a global community of educators and organisations, fostering peer support, knowledge-sharing, and growth in countries where ASI education is still developing.
Its role is not comparison or competition, but unity, integrity, and fidelity.

The 6th International Sensory Integration Congress (ISIC) will be held in Porto, Portugal on the 29-31 January 2026. The congress will be hosted by 7Senses and will bring together the most respected lead experts in ASI from within the ASI community as well as world-renowned researchers from outside the field of Occupational Therapy.
