My name is Ana Paula, and I am a Portuguese paediatric occupational therapist based in London. I originally trained as a speech and language therapist and worked in Portugal for seven years before moving to London to complete a Master’s in Occupational Therapy. I have been supporting neurodiverse children and their families for over 13 years.
I currently work within a neurodiversity team, supporting children aged 0–6. I am passionate about helping each child engage meaningfully in their everyday activities while respecting and celebrating their individuality. I also enjoy promoting awareness and understanding of sensory differences across educational and community settings, helping to create inclusive and supportive environments for all children.
I enthusiastically joined the Portuguese translation project to connect with other Portuguese colleagues and help share this valuable tool with more children and families.
Outside of work, I love spending time in nature, hiking, and exploring London’s vibrant live music scene with family and friends.
