Claudia Omairi, PhD, OTR/R(Br), is an occupational therapist with over 38 years of experience in pediatrics. She has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) since 2005. She completed her doctorate in “Child and Adolescent Health” at UFPR on the scientific evidence of OT-ASI in children with ASD. She specialized in Sensory Integration at the University of Southern California under the leadership of Dr. Parham and interned at the Pediatric Therapy Network. Since then, she has worked with SI both clinically and as a teacher and owns the clinic “GymISense” in Brazil. She was one of the coordinators of the CLASI program in Brazil and regional leader (South America) in the collection of international normative data for the Ayres Assessment of Sensory Integration (EASI).
