Welcome to e-SENSE
Our digital magazine bringing together ideas, conversations, research, learning and practical resources from ASI Wise and The Sensory Project.
e-SENSE is a place to pause, explore and connect. We share what we are learning from research, clinical practice, education, co-production and lived experience, always returning to the everyday question that matters most: what helps people participate in the lives they want to live?
Ideas worth sharing
e-SENSE brings different voices and perspectives into one place, helping us think more deeply about sensory integration, participation, neurodiversity and human experience.
It connects evidence with everyday life and keeps people, relationships, environments, occupations and meaningful participation in view.
A space for curiosity, reflection and connection
Sensory integration is never simply about a sensory score, a piece of equipment or a clinic space. It is about people and participation.
e-SENSE gives us room to explore that bigger picture, bringing together emerging evidence, thoughtful practice, community voices and ideas that can be carried into everyday life.
Research & evidence
Explore research, emerging thinking and the questions that invite us to look again at sensory integration, participation and occupational life.
Practice & participation
Connect theory with real life through reflective ideas, sensory support, clinical reasoning and participation focused practice across the lifespan.

Keep noticing.
Keep asking what the person is experiencing, what matters to them and what might help participation become more possible.
Seeing sensory integration through the whole person
Our work begins with people rather than programmes. We are interested in how sensory integration, environments, relationships, activity, autonomy and meaning come together within real lives.
e-SENSE helps us share those conversations beyond the classroom and beyond individual professions.
It is designed for anyone who is curious about sensory experience and participation, including therapists, education staff, health and social care teams, families, carers and people drawing on services.
Some articles may invite you to think differently. Others may offer something practical to try, explore or discuss. Throughout, our aim is to support thoughtful, neuro-affirming approaches grounded in dignity, curiosity and co-production.
