Booking for others

I am booking for someone else

Thank you for arranging somebody else’s learning. A little care at the booking stage helps make sure the learner receives the right access and that their learning record stays with them.

One learner, one learning account

Where possible, please use the learner’s own name and individual email address when their place is set up.

Their learning access, progress and certificates may be linked to those details, so it is helpful to get this right at the start.

1

Use the full name of the person who will actually complete the learning.

2

Use an individual email address that the learner can access.

3

Make sure the learner knows which email address has been used for their account.

Please do not use your own email address for the learner

If you are arranging or paying for the learning but will not be completing it yourself, your email address should not be used as the learner’s account unless we have specifically advised you to do this.

Shared or duplicated accounts can make it difficult to keep learning records and certificates with the right person.

Are you booking several people?

If you are arranging learning for several members of staff, a team or a wider organisation, you may not need to create each booking individually.

A small group or team

Use the group booking information to see the easiest way to arrange learning for several people.

A service or organisation

If you are thinking about wider workforce learning or commissioning, start with our manager and commissioner page.

Is your organisation paying?

If your organisation needs an invoice, purchase order or finance approval, it is usually better to arrange that before individual learner bookings are created.

This helps us keep the organisation, payment and learner information connected correctly.

Does the learner already have an account?

If they have completed Sensory Project or ASI Wise learning before, using the same email address can help keep their learning history together.

If they are unsure which email address their existing account uses, please avoid creating several new accounts. Our login guidance may help first.

Is the booking a little more complicated?

That is fine. If you are booking for several people, arranging payment on somebody else’s behalf, or are unsure which account details to use, tell us what you are trying to arrange and we will help you find the simplest route.
