Two Pathways, One Foundation: Your Journey in Ayres Sensory Integration
Begin with the same high-quality ASI content. Choose between the Certificate Route – affordable, practice-focused, and achievable within NHS budgets – or the MSc Route, which adds academic depth, advanced assignments, and a postgraduate award.
Shared Content | Two Pathways, One Foundation
Both learning pathways begin with the same three modules for practice across the life span:
- ASI1: Foundations in Sensory Integration
- ASI2: Assessment in Sensory Integration (includes EASI training)
- ASI3: Intervention in Sensory Integration
✅ This ensures every learner, whether on the Certificate or MSc route, develops the same essential skills for practice.

Flexible, Affordable, Practice-Focused Learning
The Certificate Route is the most accessible entry point into Ayres Sensory Integration training. It allows you to complete ASI1–3 at your own pace, embedding skills in daily practice and spreading costs in a way achievable within NHS budgets. This route is CPD accredited, ICE-ASI aligned, and widely recognised by employers.
Advance to Postgraduate Recognition
The MSc Route builds on the same ASI1–3 modules but extends your learning through additional academic reading, written assignments, research training, and a dissertation. This pathway leads to a full MSc in Sensory Integration from Ulster University — ideal for therapists aiming for leadership, research, or education roles.
Funding & Progression
Many therapists and NHS services start with the Certificate Route (ASI1–3) as an affordable first step. Skills are embedded in practice before advancing to the MSc – with prior learning fully recognised when you choose to progress.
ASI1–3 was a manageable, affordable way to bring sensory integration into my NHS role.
