Percentiles, Protocols, and Practice presents a pilot study examining how postrotary nystagmus (PRN) can be meaningfully interpreted in adolescents and adults within Ayres Sensory Integration® occupational therapy practice.
The poster introduces preliminary age-banded adult PRN percentiles.
It explores:
- clockwise and anticlockwise symmetry data
- strengthens confidence in vestibular measurement
- compares findings with existing adult PRN datasets
- and presents a brief co-produced vestibular self-reflection checklist designed to connect vestibular test results with lived experience, daily routines, participation, and occupational performance
Together, these approaches aim to move adult PRN interpretation beyond paediatric norms and towards a more age-appropriate, participation-focused framework to support clinical reasoning, professional education, and evidence-informed occupational therapy practice.
