Description

Join our 2.5-hour webinar “Ayres Sensory Integration, Eating Disorders & ARFID Beyond Childhood” to explore the application of Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI) theory in understanding and supporting individuals experiencing difficulties with eating and feeding.

While ASI is often associated with paediatric practice, this session expands its relevance to adolescents and adults, including individuals with Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) and other complex eating challenges.

Led by experienced occupational therapy clinicians and research-active therapists, the session blends theoretical foundations with practical, real-world examples to enhance clinical reasoning and intervention planning. You’ll walk away with tools to assess sensory modulation, discrimination, and praxis issues related to feeding behaviours.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the core principles of Ayres Sensory Integration® and their relevance to eating and feeding behaviours.
  • Identify sensory modulation and discrimination difficulties that may underlie restrictive or avoidant eating.
  • Apply a sensory integration lens to assess and support clients with ARFID and other feeding issues.
