Large Team and Enterprise licences
Prices are available on enquiry only. Bespoke licences are available for NHS Trusts, local authorities, universities and other organisations requiring 25 or more named users, central purchasing or wider organisational access.
Contact us to discuss your requirements and receive a quotation. Large Team and Enterprise licences are arranged directly, not added to the basket.
Team licences are allocated to named professionals within the purchasing organisation. Shared logins, redistribution of the handbook or blank resource files, and uploading the course or resource to a shared learning platform are not included unless agreed within a separate organisational licence.
Each licensed professional may still reproduce the permitted person-facing checklist and reflection pages for people they directly support. The licence count is the number of professionals using the resource independently, not the number of people they support. Read the terms of use.
The prices shown are totals for each named-user package. Select the corresponding option in the purchase menu above and check the total before completing your order.

More room for the person and their context
What does version 2 explore?
The revised edition brings inner body signals and sensory choices together with environmental, digital, relational and access choices. It recognises that an experience may feel different at another time, in another place or with different people.
Explore the 12 checklist areas
- Inner body signals
- Choices that may help me notice and respond
- Movement and balance
- Body position, pressure and muscle work
- Touch, temperature and body boundaries
- Mouth, jaw, voice and breathing
- Taste and flavour
- Sounds
- Visual experiences
- Smells
- Environmental and digital choices
- Relational and access choices
These are 12 areas for exploration, not 12 separate senses. Choose the sections that matter to the person. Nobody has to complete every section or try any of the experiences listed.
From noticing to understanding
What the resource can help you explore
The checklist helps people reflect on what feels comfortable, difficult, helpful or important to them. It can open conversations about sensory preferences, everyday activities and the adjustments that may support choice, access and participation.
- Recognise individual sensory choices and preferences.
- Notice experiences that may support or interrupt participation.
- Develop a shared language for sensory conversations.
- Consider the interaction between the person, activity, environment and relationships.
- Identify thoughtful and proportionate changes that may help.
- Recognise when occupational therapy or specialist sensory assessment may be needed.
Choice, dignity and collaboration
Designed around people, not labels
My Sensory Choice Checklist Version 2 offers an accessible way to begin exploring sensory experiences without reducing somebody to a score or fixed profiling. It is suitable for use across the lifespan and should always be used collaboratively, with respect for communication, identity, lived experience and choice.
Person-led
The person’s experiences, priorities and preferred ways of doing and communicating remain central.
Trauma-informed
Reflection is approached with curiosity, consent and sensitivity rather than assumptions.
Neuro-affirming
Sensory differences are explored as part of human neuro-diversity, not treated as failures to be corrected.
Across every life stage
Designed for reflection across the lifespan
Sensory experiences develop within relationships, activities, health, culture and environments. The guidebook supports thoughtful adaptation for infants, children, young people, adults and older adults, while keeping communication, choice and context central.
Explore. Collaborate. Review.
Use it with the person, not simply about them
Begin with what the person wants or needs to do. Agree which areas feel useful and how they would like to communicate. Speaking, writing, drawing, gesture, images, AAC and other chosen forms of communication can all be part of the conversation.
Recognise what already works. Explore what changes with context. Agree a small, meaningful next step and review it in the real activity and environment, considering participation, effort, pain, distress, fatigue and recovery.
Choice throughout
The person can skip an item, pause, change an answer, return later or stop. Listed experiences are prompts for reflection, not instructions or a programme to follow.
Keep the person’s account clear
Record what the person communicates separately from observations and possible professional explanations. A tick is a starting point, not an explanation on its own.
Review everyday participation
Review the agreed change where it is intended to help. Decide together what to keep, adapt or stop, recognising that experiences may change.
A flexible shared resource
Who is it for?
The resource supports individuals, families, supporters and professionals to explore sensory choices and experiences together. It can support personal reflection, shared conversations and participation-focused planning across everyday life. The named professional uses the licensed handbook within their role and competence, and may provide the permitted person-facing pages to people they directly support.
Occupational therapists and other appropriately skilled professionals can use the resource across health, education, social care, home, work and community settings. Families, carers and other supporters can contribute while keeping the person’s own communication and choices central.
Clear professional boundaries
My Sensory Choice Checklist is a reflective and communication resource. It is not a diagnostic test, standardised assessment or substitute for occupational therapy or other specialist sensory assessment.
Its purpose is not to label a person or create a fixed sensory profile. It supports curiosity, shared understanding and thoughtful decisions about what may help next.
Your licence permits you to print the handbook for your own reference and reproduce the person-facing checklist and reflection pages for people you directly support, including copies for completion and their own records. Please retain the required title, authorship, copyright and licence details. Read the full terms of use below.
A team explores v2
Sensory choices are for all of us
After a very busy morning, a group of Band 6 colleagues made time to discuss and explore the new Sensory Choices Checklist™. Their manager explained that the positions shown in the photographs were the ones they chose to meet their own sensory needs as they talked.
A shared conversation, with room for different ways of taking part.
First reflections from the team’s discussion
The team valued starting with the person’s interests, strengths and priorities. They described opportunities for a conversation completed with the person, using everyday language and selecting the sections that matter now.
Their discussion also highlighted how environments, activities and relationships can change an experience, and why digital choices, communication, agency and practical support deserve attention.
These are themes from one team discussion, not individual quotations, a formal evaluation or a claim of clinical effectiveness.
Clear permissions for everyday practice
Using your licensed resource
You may print the handbook for your own reference and reproduce the permitted person-facing pages for people you directly support. The professional licence is not a shared copy for colleagues’ independent use.

A longstanding commitment to choice
The original checklist was developed in 2001 by occupational therapists Kathryn Smith and Angie Turner, together with people using Cornwall Partnership NHS Trust services. Version 2 continues that process of listening, exploring and revising.
