Sensory Grids were designed as a tool for clinicians to use in coproduction with individuals to gather the information (data) of a person’s everyday life and meaningful occupations to consider the sensory experiences of any occupational activity. The clinician and the individual work in co-production to gather and interpret the data. 

Sensory Grids were created by Kathryn Smith, an Occupational Therapist, in 2002. Sensory Grids were designed as a tool for clinicians to use in coproduction with individuals to gather the information (data) of a person’s everyday life and meaningful occupations to consider the sensory experiences of any occupational activity.
