2-Day Specialist Workshop
21 February and 7 March 2025
Join us in this interactive workshop, live on Zoom, designed to deepen your understanding of the link between sensory processing challenges and psychosis. It will focus on using Ayres Sensory Integration (ASI) to support mental health recovery in line with NHS England’s Culture of Care Standards for Mental Health Inpatient Services. Over two interactive days, we will explore how Ayres’ Sensory Integration can be integrated into care pathways to improve self-regulation, enhance meaningful participation, and promote overall well-being in individuals with psychosis.

Prerequisite Learning:
2 or 3-day training in sensory integration for mental health and wellbeing or equivalent (which may include attendance on Masters modules AS1 or equivalent).

Join us for an interactive workshop that will be live on Zoom. You will experience a deep dive into how Ayres’ theory and model provide a bridge between changes to the nervous system through trauma and participation in everyday life. This includes exploring how trauma changes the nervous system, and how this can be addressed through the power of the senses. We will explore and blend in recent neuroscience and trauma-informed care concepts. Group work will focus on sensory-rich environments. You will experience case studies and ways of working to create innovative needs-led individual and whole ward programmes to support clients with trauma (with or without other mental health difficulties).Our Mental Health and Wellbeing Workshop is a prerequisite to our 3-Day Ayres Sensory Integration and Trauma Workshop.
