Blues and Two’s | Paramedic Postgraduate Route

From frontline understanding to Master’s level neuroscience.

For paramedics, Module 1 can be the beginning of a wider professional learning route. OTH817 provides 30 Master’s level credits in Ayres’ Sensory Integration®️ theory and neuroscience within Ulster University’s Advancing Practice programme.

One example route

Module 1→OTH817→Advanced Assessment and Management for Paramedics→Developing Specialist Paramedic Practice in Urgent Care→Research→PgCert / PgDip / MSc

This is an example pathway, not a prescribed module combination. Current module availability, admissions, credit and award requirements are determined by Ulster University.

What OTH817 adds

OTH817 deepens understanding of sensory systems, central nervous system neuroscience, perception, sensory reactivity, praxis and participation.

Completing OTH817 does not, by itself, qualify a paramedic to undertake specialist Ayres Sensory Integration assessment or intervention.
