DescriptionASI WISE/CLASI Module 4* provides information on using research to guide the interpretation of assessment data, linking findings to participation strengths and challenges and guiding intervention planning. Participants will prepare a case study for analysis and this will be shared, developed and reflected on during live online mentoring with ASI WISE mentors. The module price includes live online ASI WISE mentoring in dedicated tutor peer groups. *ASI WISE is working with world leaders in Ayres Sensory Integration; Susanne Smith Roley and Zoe Mailloux of CLASI to develop a range of courses to meet the learning needs of UK and Ireland therapists.
WHO CAN TAKE THIS COURSE
Module 4 is open to healthcare professionals with at least a bachelor level equivalent college/university degree in occupational therapy, speech pathology, physical therapy, psychology, or medicine. Module 4 is a prerequisite to Modules 5 and 6.
After the course, participants will be able to:
Describe the patterns of sensory integration function and dysfunction
Analyze and interpret assessment results according to the patterns of SI function and dysfunction
Relate the data obtained through the application of the instruments with the difficulties of occupational performance of the individual
Identify client-centered goals and objectives from presenting concerns linked to the interpretation
Create the intervention plan based on the evaluation performed
Describe how the intervention will be conducted, as well as various contexts for children identified with sensory dysfunction

Zoe Mailloux, OTD, OTR/L, FAOTA
Zoe is a founding partner, alongside Susanne Smith Roley, of the Collaborative for Leadership in Ayres Sensory Integration (CLASI). She has participated in test development and clinical research related to sensory integrative dysfunction and autism and she was a research assistant to Dr. A. Jean Ayres from 1978 to 1984 during which time she was involved in many clinical and research projects with Dr. Ayres. Zoe has more than 30 years of experience in non-profit management and she is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy, Jefferson School of Health Professions at Thomas Jefferson University. She is also in private practice and consults on a variety of projects including program and professional development. Zoe has published numerous journal articles and textbook chapters and has received a number of professional awards, including being named a fellow of AOTA in 1993. She also received an award of excellence from the Autism Research Foundation, the Wilma West Lectureship at the University of Southern California and the A. Jean Ayres Award and the Virginia Scardina Award of Excellence from the American Occupational Therapy Foundation. Zoe is interested in innovative practice that will enhance life satisfaction in new and effective ways for children and their families.
CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS
Module 4 will provide 30 hours of training including the assignments. CLASI is an approved provider of continuing education units (CEU) by the American Occupational Therapy Association. The following AOTA CE Classification Code applies to M4: Occupational Therapy Practice.

The online platform guides you through the lessons, supplemental videos and assignments. The user-friendly system allows you to create your own account to manage all of your CLASI modules.
